20 months... wow!

I cant believe the kids are 20 months already!!  Where did my babies go??  I look at them and see toddlers.  So big, so funny and so eager to explore.  They are learning new things every day.  They are down to 1 nap and spend most of the day on the go. 

Our days usually start between 6am and 7am everyday.  We have breakfast and play while daddy gets ready for work.  Then we have our ritual of waving bye-bye to daddy.  He turns on the lights and everyone gets to blow daddy kisses out the window... even the dogs. 

At this point its now 8am or 9am  I usually will eat something and let the kiddos freeplay while I relax and watch them.  By 10 am we are off to the gym or outside doing something fun.  These days the weather is so hot we LOVE going outside for water time!!!  They would spend all day in the water if I let them.  Hmmmm I think we will have to convince daddy that the next house needs a "real" pool.

On REALLY hot days or rainy days if we dont go to the gym we like to try something new like home made play dough, finger painting or cooking.  The kids take after mommy and love to color and paint.  We even force daddy to bring thier fine works of art to work with him now that he has an office!

Then by 11 or 11:30 am we start lunch.  Our latest favorite is pasta in ANY form with a little olive oil and veggies.  Another favorite is grilled cheese and fruit... lots of fruit and any kind of fruit!  Watermelon is the current favorite with grapes in close second.  Im very blessed that i have 2 great little eaters on my hands.  They love all sorts of veggies and fruits.  They will eat almost anything i give them but lately bc of our 2nd molars coming in we are on a red meat strike. Hey it could be worse right!!!

Then its nap time!  My favorite part of the day.  Here im usually busy cleaning and preping for the rest of the day.  I usually get anywhere from 2 to 4 hours of quiet.  On most days Kayla will wake after 2 hours and we get some "girl time" which we both love.  This time is spent doing girly things like playing with her baby doll or playing pretend.

Then Mikey wakes up between 3 and 4pm at which point daddy is home.  We eat as a family and then play for the rest of the evening.  then its TV time!!! Where we all curl up on the couch have a snack and watch some Fresh Beat Band. 

Then daddy's favorite part of the evening is bedtime.  He gets to snuggle and read books to the kids before they go down for the night.  Then its off to clean AGAIN!!!  Finally we get a few minutes of relaxation before starting in all over again.  Most days by bedtime we are both EXHAUASTED!!! But the hugs and kisses make it all worth it.
