Lets show you some signs!

I started signing with Mikey and Kayla when they were around 4 mo old.  It began really simple with "more" and "all done".  They understood it pretty fast but couldnt get the eye hand coordination to sign back.  Then around 9 or 10 months they began to sign back. YEAH!

I will say its the best thing i EVER did.  It makes understanding thier crankiness and needs much easier.  Now when they are cranky and i cant figure out why i can ask them "do you want milk?" or " is it time for a nap"  etc. and usually if they want whatevcer i have said they will sign it back to me. Often they will walk up to me and sign what they want, which was amazing.... no tears no screaming just a simple request. 

As of today we sign 5 words.  Below is the list of thier signs in order they first signed them.....

We are currently working on "juice"  "banana" and "wash/bath".  They understand "wash/bath" right now but havent signed it back yet.  I feel it will be soon. 

In the video below it shows Mikey and Kayla showing you some of thier signs.  I had to edit the video to shorten it.  Also if you notice at the end of the video Mikey is placing his hand to his ear. No his ear is not bothering him he is actually signing "nap/bedtime" and i missed it while i was tapeing.
